January essentials selected by our sommelier Pierre-Alexis Mengual
In this new year, our sommelier is delighted to share with you our most promising new vintages , ready to evolve elegantly over the years, to be collected from January.
Cigalus Blanc, 2022
The color is golden yellow, bright and clear. The nose is intense and complex, mixing buttery, roasted and quince aromas. The attack is tense, and marked by vanilla and buttery notes.
Notes from our sommelier:
" This new vintage is an exceptional experience, characterized by a refreshing liveliness. Cigalus is fresh, aromatic, with a strong aging potential, while already offering great drinkability. "
Plantabelle, 2019
Dark and purplish color in its youth, lightens and tiles with age. An olfactory expression dominated by ripe fruits, notes of Garrigue and menthol. On the palate, density and elegance characterize this vintage.
Notes from our sommelier:
" Great concentration of old Grenache in this vintage, with aging potential of over 20 years . An exceptional vintage, with a silky mouthfeel and notes of wild raspberries. "
Hospitalitas, 2020
With an intense purple color, with red highlights, its explosive nose reveals aromas of violet, ripe fruit, with some toasted notes. With a suave and captivating attack, the very ample mouth develops on melted tannins, with great power and a beautiful length.
Notes from our sommelier:
"The 2020 vintage is particularly sunny , which allowed this plot to reach a very good maturation. The wine is powerful, minty and offers the promise of an aging capacity easily exceeding 20 years."
