Villa Soleilla: Nature, Light, Quintessence

Villa Soleilla : Nature, Lumière, Quintessence

At harvest time, when the bunches of white grapes are vatted in whole bunches to complete their maceration before being pressed, the juices take on a beautiful orange hue thanks to the extraction of tannins.

The quintessence of this ancestral know-how, Gérard Bertrand's new creation, Villa Soleilla , is a great orange wine for laying down, full of finesse and delicacy, with a beautiful aromatic structure.

Located in unspoiled nature and cultivated biodynamically, the six best plots of Roussane, Viognier and Vermentino on the estate are carefully selected.

Vinified separately in amphorae and barrels, each grape variety brings its aromatic touch, its color and its light to the wine.

Revealed today, the first vintage of Villa Soleilla is a remarkable discovery. On its label, the sun and the flower of life meet and complement each other like a promise of balance and radiance. And in the glass… it is an exceptional wine that reveals itself and stimulates a thousand creative desires when it comes to dreaming of dishes to accompany it.

Taste Villa Soleilla

To the eye : a beautiful clear, golden color with delicate reflections of light.

On the nose : subtle aromas of oriental tea, with scents of incense, citrus zest (tangerines) and acacia honey.

ON THE PALATE : A frank attack that begins with tension and fruits such as apricot, bitter orange and candied orgeat. Then a harmonious structure is revealed, counterbalanced by notes of creamy salted butter. The finish opens with a pleasant and light salinity specific to the terroir of La Clape with mineral notes.

Ideally enjoyed at 12°C, open and decant in its young life one hour before serving to fully appreciate the complexity and breadth of this exceptional wine.

Serve with : a lamb and apricot stew, roasted vegetables with mild spices and fresh goat's cheese or long-ripened cow or sheep's milk cheese. Or drink as an aperitif, accompanied by mouthfuls flavored with refined spices.
