- The name Forge comes from the land registry, on the plot there are all the elements necessary for forging: wood for the fire and water to cool the metal.
- With great breadth, the palate reveals powerful and elegant aromas, which evoke "jammed" red fruits. It is a very great wine with high aging potential (20 years)

Vinification et élevage
The remarkable quality of this vintage lies in the quality exceptional grapes. These are old vines of 80 years old in Carignan and 20 years of Syrah. Yield control (25hl/ha) by using green harvesting to homogenize the load of each vine, thus allows for a “grouped” maturation of the grapes. The harvest is manual according to tradition. The wines are then placed in 225-litre Bordeaux barrels in our cellar for a period of approximately 10 to 12 months. We select the best coopers, in order to adapt the choice of wood origins and of type of heating, to the potential of each vintage. The wines do not are neither glued nor filtered before bottling; the bottles are then kept for 12 months before being marketed.
